March 17, 2016. This chickadee image was taken minutes after winning a fight with a pair of bluebirds. The chickadees have been working on this nest site for several days. It was too small for the bluebirds anyway, but they still battled. For as much as I love bluebirds, I was rooting for the chickadees.
