This baby looks a bit young to me for fledging, but we have had several days in a row of excessive heat. Perhaps it is leaving the nest early for this reason. I was worried because its parents were no where around. However as I returned, I was attacked mercilessly by several adults. Hopefully they were protecting this little one and its siblings.
